I have been reading the news lately and there are just too many things happening in the MMO industry. I decided to put them all together and share it here.
The Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer publishers announced the upcoming release of a combined retail package containing both ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ and the expansion ‘Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer’. There is no accurate release date yet but the sure thing is Deep Silver will publish the game package in PAL territories and CompuExpert will distribute it in North America.
Star Trek Online. Cryptic developers said that they have been planning to make an open and persistent PvP ground and space maps, that is in response to the queries that they received. They also said that they are planning to offer 10-man teams for the upcoming maps.
Final Fantasy IV. The game’s 3rd alpha test failed. Game reports were just complaints from the gamers because most of the time was spent to login and logout. They haven’t been able to come up with a solution for server load issues which caused the login problem.
World of Warcraft. The preview for the Paladin class in World of Warcraft Cataclysm has been released last April 14. There will be 3 new spells – Blinding Shield which stuns all mobs that are facing the Paladin, Healing hands – a six second healing DoT that heals all allies within a short distance, and Guardian of Ancient Kings which Summons a temporary guardian that looks like a winged creature of light armed with a sword.
AION Online. There will be another DOUBLE Experience weekend for all North American servers. The experience bonus will start on Friday, April 23rd (8pm) and ends on Monday, April 26th (8am). 😀
